Two tumbledown buildings dating back to 1700 have been cleverly renovated to create the Holiday Home, Le Antiche Pietre. Today these buildings, one of which was once a house and the other a shed for drying chestnuts, have been turned into two fabulous country cottages made entirely out of stone, located 750m above sea level in the old village of Raggiolo, on the slopes of the Pratomagno mountains in the heart of the Casentino near the Chianti hills.
The setting is unique: Raggiolo is an immaculate medieval village made out of stone whose inhabitants have succeeded in preserving its beauty over time. That’s why it has been classified as one of the 250 most beautiful villages in Italy since September 2015. The cottages are located in a wonderful, quiet location surrounded by a charming garden, a porch and a small courtyard. They are set in sober and simple surroundings like two antique precious stones: simplicity and nature are at the heart of their beauty.
